Food and Nutritional Services

Food and Nutritional Services

Food and Nutritional Services participates in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs which are governed by the United States Department of Agriculture.

Campus cafeterias serve meals that include items from the five food groups: meat or meat alternates, grains, vegetables, fruits, and milk. To qualify as a reimbursable student breakfast, the meal must include at least three food items, one of which must be a fruit. For lunch, a reimbursable meal must consist of at least three different food groups, and one of those must be either a fruit or a vegetable. If these minimum requirements are not met, the meal will not qualify as reimbursable and will be charged at a la carte prices.
