My name is Batool Abbas, and I’m excited to be part of Hickey Elementary as a Special Education Resource Teacher. I earned my master’s degree in Education from Texas Woman’s University, majoring in Special Education with certification as an Educational Diagnostician. I bring more than 18 years of teaching experience, including two years serving as an Educational Diagnostician.

I am married and have two wonderful children—both proud products of Plano ISD—as well as two adorable grandchildren.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends.

I used to create crochet handbags, and I once participated as a child artist on the radio!
