I'm from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. I've worked in education and for Plano ISD for the past nine years as a bilingual second-grade teacher at Forman Elementary School and Jackson Elementary School, and this year I'm teaching first grade here at Hickey Elementary. I have a B.A. in Science from the University of the Andes in Colombia and a Master's in Bilingual and ESL Education from the University of Texas at Permian Basin. I live with my husband, my 21-year-old daughter, and my two adorable goldendoodles, Rocco and Luna, in Allen. I'm so excited to be part of the Hickey Elementary family!
