I grew up in Plano (not far from Hickey) and graduated from Plano East Senior High. I began teaching second grade at Barron Elementary, which is where I also attended school as a student!  I love this area of Plano.  A few years into teaching, I received my Master's degree from the University of North Texas with an emphasis on Gifted and Talented.  I moved to Hickey when it opened in 2002. After 11 years of teaching second grade, I became the PACE Specialist at Hickey in 2010.  It is so much fun working with students from every grade level.  During the summers I enjoy traveling.  I’ve been to Brazil, Mexico, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Kenya, Greece and Israel.  Ask me about my adventures!
